ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf held talks with Kuwait Naval Force Commander Rear Admiral Saif Al-Hamlan at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad, focusing on maritime security and bilateral naval cooperation.

The meeting, reported on October 28, covered professional training, capacity building and opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the two naval forces.

The commanders exchanged views on the regional maritime security environment and discussed ways to maintain closer institutional engagement.

During the visit, the Kuwaiti naval commander was also briefed on Pakistan Navy’s activities and contributions to regional maritime security.

The naval meeting followed Rear Admiral Al-Hamlan’s discussions with Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on October 27.

At that meeting, the two sides reviewed existing defence relations and opportunities for further collaboration, particularly in the naval sector.

Both engagements reflected Pakistan and Kuwait’s interest in expanding professional exchanges and maintaining regular defence contacts.
