ISLAMABAD, October 31, 2026 — Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) reported a 53% increase in quarterly profit to Rs58.51 billion, supported by higher oil and gas production and stronger sales.
The company’s profit rose from Rs38.30 billion in the same quarter last year, according to its financial results submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on October 30.
Revenue increased 37.7% to Rs132.42 billion from Rs96.19 billion, while earnings per share climbed to Rs13.60 from Rs8.91.
OGDCL also announced an interim cash dividend of Rs5 per share, compared with Rs3.50 per share a year earlier.
The company’s oil and gas production improved during the July–September quarter. Average daily crude oil production increased 13.3% to 35,494 barrels, while natural gas production rose 14.2% to 732 million cubic feet per day.
The increase was supported by additional production from existing and newly connected wells.
However, the company continued to face restrictions on gas sales because of reduced demand from buyers. OGDCL estimated that these restrictions resulted in approximately Rs9.7 billion in lost sales revenue during the quarter.
The latest financial results reflect stronger earnings for one of Pakistan’s largest energy producers, although restrictions on gas sales remain a challenge.
