The State Bank of Pakistan has issued revised instructions allowing authorised banks to process sugar-export transactions for eligible mills in Punjab and Sindh under previously approved export arrangements.

The instructions relate to an approved export quantity of 200,000 tonnes, rather than a newly announced additional export quota.

Under the revised arrangements, banks may process transactions in accordance with the applicable provincial allocations and documentation requirements.

Mills in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remain subject to the relevant provincial endorsement before their transactions can proceed under the instructions.

The circular governs how banks handle eligible export cases. It does not, by itself, establish that the full approved quantity has been shipped.
