KARACHI: Habib Bank Limited (HBL) has reported a profit before tax of Rs115 billion for the nine months ended September 30, 2026, supported by growth in banking income and its deposit base.

The bank’s profit after tax reached Rs54.1 billion during the period, according to financial results announced on October 22.

HBL also reported a record quarterly profit before tax of Rs41.9 billion for the third quarter of 2026.

Earnings per share for the nine-month period rose to Rs36.84.

The bank announced an interim cash dividend of Rs6 per share for the third quarter, in addition to Rs12 per share already distributed earlier in the year.

Its total balance sheet increased by 16% to Rs8.9 trillion, while deposits reached Rs5.9 trillion.

HBL reported total advances of approximately Rs2.2 trillion, reflecting lending activity across its banking operations.

Net interest income rose to Rs210 billion, supported by balance sheet growth and changes in the bank’s funding mix.

Non-interest income reached Rs73 billion, with contributions from fees, commissions and treasury operations.

Together, these sources brought the bank’s reported revenue to Rs283 billion.

HBL said administrative expenses increased by approximately 6% as it continued investing in technology and customer services.
