KARACHI: Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited has signed an agreement to acquire manufacturing assets from Procter & Gamble Pakistan (Private) Limited, subject to regulatory approval.

In a disclosure to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, Colgate-Palmolive said the agreement, signed on October 28, covers land, a manufacturing facility and associated assets in Karachi.

The transaction requires clearance from the Competition Commission of Pakistan before it can be completed.

The agreement follows Colgate-Palmolive’s earlier announcement in May 2026 that it was considering the acquisition of P&G Pakistan’s manufacturing property.

P&G previously announced plans to wind down its direct manufacturing and commercial operations in Pakistan as part of a global restructuring programme, shifting towards a third-party distribution model.

The proposed transaction involves manufacturing assets rather than the acquisition of P&G’s entire Pakistani business or consumer brands.

The deal could provide Colgate-Palmolive with additional manufacturing infrastructure, although any expansion of production or employment remains unconfirmed.
