Singapore, November 5, 2026 — Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Singapore, Rabia Shafiq, met representatives of Pakistani insurance and reinsurance companies to discuss strengthening international industry cooperation.
The delegation, led by IGI General Insurance Chief Operating Officer Muhammad Hisham, attended the Singapore International Reinsurance Conference, held from November 1 to 5.
Focus on Skills and Partnerships
Discussions centred on professional exchanges, institutional partnerships and specialised training, particularly in actuarial sciences.
Around 60 Pakistani delegates participated in the conference, representing companies including IGI General Insurance, Habib Insurance, Sindh Insurance and Pak-Qatar.
The engagement highlighted opportunities for Pakistani insurers to develop technical expertise and strengthen connections with international industry professionals.
No formal investment agreement or new partnership was announced following the meeting.
